What’s the difference between remote, hybrid, on-site and on the road job?

On Job Bank, employers can publish four types of jobs:

  • Remote: work must be completed remotely. The employees can work from their location of choice such as a home office.
  • Hybrid: work is completed both in person and remotely. The days worked in person and remotely are to be discussed with the employer.
  • On-site: work must be completed in person, at a location designated by the employer. There is no option to work remotely.
  • On the road: requires the employee to travel regularly or constantly. This means that the work location will change often.

If you want to learn more about the work location details of a job advertised on Job Bank, you can contact the employer directly.
