As a <b>Cook</b>, you will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while gaining an understanding of residents? dietary needs, preferences, and cultural considerations. You will contribute to creating enjoyable dining experiences that support residents? health and well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day. </p><p><b>What makes you a great fit?</b></p><p> ? You have hands-on experience preparing meals and snacks in a fast-paced kitchen, following recipes, production sheets, and menu guidelines.</p><p>? You understand the importance of meeting prescribed dietary requirements, proper food temperatures, and portion control while maintaining high quality standards. </p><p>? Monitoring quality of food supplies received and advises team leader of problems and makes recommendations about corrective action</p><p>? In the absence of the team leader, assumes responsibility for departmental operations including menu changes as necessary, requisitions and purchases food and other supplies from authorized suppliers</p><p><b>What you need to know:</b></p><p> ? Grade 12 minimum education required</p><p>? A valid Safe Food Handling Certificate and/or Smart Serve certificate</p><p>? Experience with cooking in institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality </p><p>? You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit</p><p>? You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check</p><p>?
