Applications are invited for the position of: Teacher<p>Position : Full-Time Probationary, Grade 6 - French Immersion<p>Location : cole Mountain View School - Hinton, AB Start Date : Duties to commence August 26, 2024 until June 30, 2025<p>Hours of Work : 1.0 FTE Monday-Friday<p>The competition will remain open until: April 26, 2024<p>A dual-track (English and French Immersion) school in Hinton, Alberta. Located under an hour east of Jasper, Alberta. cole Mountain View School resides in the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division, an elementary school providing excellent education in both English and French to grades JK-7.<p>Role and Responsibilities <p>The successful candidate will be a collaborative person with proficiency in the use of educational technology and have an understanding of assessment for learning. The responsibilities include: Providing instruction to promote high quality student-centered learning.<p> Designing and preparing lessons based on curriculum and following a variety of methodology in teaching and instructing students, including lectures, demonstrations and discussions.<p> Facilitating inclusive educational practices to maximize educational opportunities for all students.<p> Reviewing and evaluating each student's performance, knowledge and skills and meeting all reporting and assessment deadlines.<p> Adhering to provincial legislation, board policy and division administrative procedures.<p> Developing constructive relationships with parents.<p> Modelling commitment to professional development. The successful candidate will: Be required to teach all Core subjects in French. <p> Possess an Alberta Teaching Certificate or be eligible for one.<p> Have experience in following the Teaching Quality Standard (TQS) and infusing literacy across the curriculum.<p> Hold a Bachelors degree of Education.<p>The Division Grande Yellowhead School Division (GYPSD) stretches from Jasper National Park, east to Evansburg, south of Cadomin, and northwest to Grande Cache. The jurisdiction includes 17 schools, 5 Learning Connection Centres, approximately 5000 students and 600 staff. The Division is governed by seven elected Trustees.<p>The Boards four main priorities are: Student Learning<p> Teaching and Leadership Excellence<p> Community Engagement<p> System Health and Wellness<p>GYPSD schools offer a broad range of JK-12 programs.
